Washbox Global
FOCUS: Waste (reduction, recycling, upcycling), Water (conservation, treatment, capture, monitoring, reuse)
OVERVIEW: Washbox is a changing lives through enabling construction companies, their staff and sub trades be stewards of their own environmental impact. Most of the worlds construction projects do not provide a waste solution for their sub trades who generate liquid waste from their work activities, unlike trades who generate solid waste that have their waste meticulously managed by the project. Trades such as painters, plasterers and tilers wash materials such as paint, plaster and grout from their tools and in most cases their construction project manager directs this waste to be washed into sewer connected drums or worse, for the trades to wash their tools at home. Through limitations of waste water treatment plants, whether events and the impacts of Combined Sewer Overflows, this construction liquid waste is ending up in our environment. The liquid waste generated on the construction projects, just like its solid waste counterpart, is the responsibility of the constructor to ensure it is properly handled. This waste contains microplastics, PFAS dyes, stains, resins and polymers that are designed to last in the environment for a long time as applied finishes and is being recognised as a significant emerging threat. The legacy process that drive this discharge are also linked to poor productivity and quality outcomes for construction projects. Washbox is a wash station for construction trades. Its closed loop liquid waste technology is the worlds only multi trade solution for tool washing on construction projects. As Hardware as a service Washbox is available for hire which makes it universally accessible. It eliminates 98% of the water used for tool washing by construction trades, and through its fully automated process, recycles all the washwater after removing the waste inputs into filters from where is can be responsibly disposed as a solid. Washbox is leading the industry to better outcomes.
